The Guide uses a creative, interactive, activity-oriented, behavioral approach to teaching prevention strategies within a communicable disease concept, which is easily implemented in all schools.

The goal of the Guide is to provide methods and materials to help educators help students to gain the knowledge and skills needed for realistic decision-making regarding STD’s. It emphasizes drug use prevention within a framework of comprehensive health education. The Guide addresses all of the National Health Education Standards.

Since 1984, the Guide, which has been constantly updated (now in its 50th edition) with input from students, teachers, parents, health professionals, religious leaders, and persons living with HIV/AIDS/STD’s, has been helping educators around the world teach students the life skill competencies in a format that is as easy to use as the ABC’s of STD’s. ™

In fact the concept of the ABC’s came out of the inner city Cleveland Public Schools in 1984.

Check out the latest edition of the Guide, so you can Just Say Know.™
